Advanced Jaw & TMJ Massage Therapy

Functional support for jaw pain, tension, and movement

Jaw pain and TMJ dysfunction can be painful and frustrating, often affecting daily activities such as chewing, speaking, sleeping, and concentration. TMJ/jaw pain, clenching, headaches, facial tension, and neck discomfort are often influenced by how the jaw, tongue, breathing, posture, and surrounding muscles work together. Advanced Jaw & TMJ Massage Therapy is designed to support these interconnected systems through a focused, functional approach.

This service focuses on reducing tension in the muscles of the jaw, face, head, and neck that may contribute to jaw discomfort or restricted movement. Treatments may include external and intra-oral massage techniques, along with attention to surrounding areas such as the neck, shoulders, and posture.

In addition to hands-on treatment, clients will receive education and guided home care exercises informed by orofacial muscle function and breathing awareness. These strategies are intended to support healthy jaw habits, improve muscle coordination, and address underlying muscle and movement patterns that contribute to ongoing tension — helping support longer-lasting results.

This service may be helpful for:

  • Jaw pain, tension, or fatigue

  • Clenching or grinding (bruxism)

  • Clicking or popping

  • Facial, temple, or head tension

  • Headaches related to jaw or neck tension

  • Restricted jaw movement

  • Neck and shoulder tension connected to jaw mechanics

  • Ear pressure, itchiness, ringing (tinnitus)

Our Approach

Mandy and Dave are completing advanced training in jaw function and TMJ-related care. This integrative approach combines targeted massage therapy with functional education and guided exercises to support how the jaw works within the larger system, including posture, breathing patterns, and muscle coordination.
